Taisho, one of the five largest pharmaceutical companies in Japan, recently completed its USD 107.4m acquisition of a controlling stake in Duoc Hau Giang (Hau Giang Pharmaceutical – DHG), Vietnam’s leading pharmaceutical manufacturer. Our team, led by partners Nguyen Xuan Thuy and Bui Ngoc Hong, assisted Taisho throughout the entire transaction, walking the Japanese pharmaceutical giant through legal matters to become the majority shareholder in DHG.

The deal is expected to strengthen Taisho’s presence in Vietnam’s highly regulated pharmaceutical market and will enable Taisho to contribute more to DHG’s growth. LNT is proud and honored to have been a part of the deal, and looks forward to continuing the successful relationship with Taisho.
