Cong Le is a Senior Associate in the Corporate and M&A practice group. He has experience advising on M&A, Private equity investments, and Financing transactions across a broad range of industries, including education, manufacturing, real estate, fintech, technology and e-commerce, renewable energy, pharmaceuticals and hospitality.
His M&A experience covers complex local and cross-border transactions across the full transaction life cycle, including corporate restructurings, leveraged acquisition financings, acquisition transactions, post-closing integration matters and transaction-related disputes.
In addition to his M&A practice, Cong also advises on domestic and cross-border Financing transactions, including acquisition financings, secured lending and structured financings. He has experience acting for both borrowers and financial institutions in financing transactions connected with projects, acquisitions, restructurings and other strategic investments.

• Advised PT Sari Murni Abadi (Momogi Group) on its US$100 million acquisition of Bibica Corporation, a leading Vietnamese listed FMCG company, including the related acquisition financing;
• Acted for and advised EQuest Education Group on a number of strategic financing and M&A transactions, including:
‣ an initial investment of close to US$100 million by KKR through KKR Global Impact Fund;
‣ a subsequent US$120 million funding round through a combination of debt financing and equity investment;
‣ an inaugural US$115.5 million international syndicated loan facility arranged by Standard Chartered Bank and CTBC Bank, with participation from nine international financial institutions; and
‣ its acquisition of Khoi Nguyen Education Group, owner of the Canadian International School (CIS) and Bilingual School system in Vietnam.
• Advised a top global investor on a US$120 million strategic investment and joint venture with BW Industrial for the development of industrial real estate projects across Vietnam;
• Advised a leading education group on a US$95 million debt financing for a strategic acquisition;
• Advised on a US$42 million acquisition financing supporting strategic acquisitions and a leveraged buyout of an existing investor;
• Advised one of Vietnam's largest hospitality groups on the proposed transfer of a US$150 million equity stake;
• Represented a leading hospitality group in Vietnam in a disputed M&A transaction worth nearly US$50 million at VIAC, successfully negotiating and reaching a settlement;
• Advised Tien Nga Joint Stock Company, a major logistics provider in Vietnam, on the sale of shares in the companies owning a 28.7 MWp rooftop solar system to Levanta Renewables;
• Acted for Asia Business Builders (ABB) on its strategic investment in an integrated pharmacy platform in Vietnam;
• Advised a Singapore-based payments company on multiple acquisitions in the fintech and technology sectors in Vietnam; and
• Acted for leading solar developers in Indonesia, Singapore, and greater Asia on the acquisition of rooftop solar power projects nationwide.
