Ms. Nguyen Thi Diep, with more than 20 years of experience working in both external and in-house counsel roles, is a Counsel at LNT & Partners. She has successfully participated in numerous dispute resolution cases and advised foreign investors, domestic companies, and regulatory agencies in Vietnam on corporate, commercial, construction, all aspects of investment and licensing in Vietnam, tax, customs, import & export, finance and banking, M&A, intellectual property, label, criminal and marriage and family, labor, infrastructure, and real estate, etc.

Prior to joining LNT & Partners, she was the Associate of LCT Law firm and was the Manager of Legal & Administrative, Director of Administrative and Human Resource at the foreign-invested companies, corporations and in the media – broadcasting practice such as VTC6 – VTC Vietnam, Han Linh Garment Export Co., Ltd, Mian Lan Group.

Work highlights

Successfully represented a multinational beverage company in commercial litigation over the claim that there was a strange object found inside the client’s products;

Represented client, a multinational peer-to-peer ridesharing and ride service hailing app provider, in a tax dispute against the Ho Chi Minh City tax authority;

Successfully represented a New Zealand multinational corporation which supplies some of the leading dairy brands in a tax dispute. According to the confirmation of GDC, this is the first case where the enterprise is refunded 100% of the paid tax and interest.

Successfully represented a U.S-based F&B multinational corporation in multiple labor disputes;

Successfully represented a China-based consumer electronics manufacturer in a dispute regarding distribution agreement;

Successfully represented the Investment Funds and the clients before Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC) over disputes under the Share Sale Agreement, Share Security Agreement, Purchase Agreement, etc.

Successfully represented a foreign corporation in supporting legal procedures to merge the two cases and prevent the cancellation of the Arbitral Award in Court.

Successfully represented the clients before Court on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards;

Successfully represented the clients before Judgment Enforcement Authority on Enforcement of Court Judgements and Arbitral Awards and Foreign Arbitral Awards in Vietnam.

Advised client on a dispute concerning a contract to construct the power line and plant of the Hydropower Project (US$300 million).

Advised a unicorn company that provides airline ticketing and hotel booking services online on termination their employees for their plan in transformation into automation;

Advised a U.S-based F&B multinational corporation on termination of their employees for their plan in transformation into automation;

Providing legal services retainer for a U.S-based F&B multinational corporation and a New Zealand multinational corporation which supplies some of the leading dairy brands;

Providing legal audit and review services for a U.S-based F&B multinational corporation and a Korean multinational manufacturing corporation.

Assisted a British-based consumer goods multinational corporation whose products are available in around 190 countries to carry out internal investigation.

Advised Investment Funds on completing the sale of all of its shares in a leading Garment Export Company.

Advised Investment Funds on completing the sale of all of its shares in a leading Corporation of high-quality specialty ingredients, chemicals, non-oil-related commodities, and other materials.

Successfully represented and supported Investment Funds during the negotiation with a leading Corporation of high-quality specialty ingredients, chemicals, non-oil-related commodities, and some major shareholders, founding shareholders, and the related parties to complete the divestment from the company.  

Advised a U.S-based F&B multinational corporation and a New Zealand multinational corporation which supplies some of the leading dairy brands on product registration, label regulations, product supply, promotional matter, etc.

Successfully supported a leading company in Vietnam specializing in products for children to against the charge of commercial fraud and solve the media crisis.
